Review of The Buff Day Spa
Review of The Buff Day Spa
You'd love to go to the spa but most of them are just too far away? Well, no-more. The Buff Day Spa couldn't be easier to find............

If you are working in town and want to treat yourself at lunch-time, after work on Thursday or book an appointment at any other time, you can’t miss The Buff Day Spa which is so conveniently located beside The Gaiety Theatre (opposite St Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre).

I was lucky enough to experience the Contouring Body Wrap (covered in albeit mud practically from head to toe) whilst wearing the most unattractive silver top and trousers. No wonder vanity is a sin – the things we do to ourselves. Not only this, but was then wrapped in bandages so tight as to nearly stop the blood circulation but was guaranteed inch loss so how could I possibly say no? Vikki, my lovely therapist, told me to lie back and relax but I just wasn’t able. Although the hour that one has to be mummified did pass rather quickly. Please note that one can’t shower the same day as having the treatment but it really isn’t as unpleasant as it actually sounds! Vikki calculated my measurements both before and after the treatments and I had lost 7 and a half inches in total with the average being 6 inches. Not bad for an hours work!

On then to The Fabulous Feet (Pedicure). One is seated on high overlooking a large open area with a wonderful big bay window facing the shopping centre. Here I was having my pedicure whilst the rest of Dublin was running around frantically outside the front door. Very therapeutic and terribly relaxing. My feet and legs felt absolutely rejuvenated afterwards.

Just when I thought I couldn’t be any more pampered Vikki treated me to the Ultimate Facial. Ladies, you just have to experience this to believe how wonderfully relaxing it is and to find out what shape your skin is really in. Your therapist will analyse your skin and advise what products you should be using as opposed to the ones that are somewhat celebrity endorsed or marketed at us every time we turn on the T.V. My hands & feet have never felt so soft as they did on leaving The Buff Day Spa.My only gripe is that I experienced green tea as a coffee or latte aren’t available to you and that’s really what I wanted. I told Vikki I’d try and drink the green tea, so sorry Vikki, it’s just not for me & I don’t care how good it is for you – it’s vile!I will most definitely be making a return visit to The Buff Day Spa.
