Simple but very effective!
1. Use images of yourself and your groom on your save-the-date cards. Whether printed or emails, a personalized save-the-date won’t be forgotten.
2. Instead of a place card at each place setting, have a menu printed that’s personalised with the guest’s name on top.
3. Instead of traditional table numbers, personalise each table by naming it something that’s relevant to you, e.g., your favourite cities, favorite authors, wines, tv soaps etc.,
4. For a Summer wedding (weather permitting !) provide your female guests with fans that are personalised with the name and date of the bride and groom.
5. Have signature cocktails named after each of the bridesmaids and groomsmen - great fun!
6. When it comes time to hit the dance floor, have a gobo made with the bride and groom’s initials projected onto the dance floor.
7. Have a slideshow made with images of wedding. Set up a screen or computer monitor for the show to be seen whilst waiting for dinner to be served.
8. A trend more popular in the States than here but you could have a CD made with images of your wedding available for your friends & family to take home at the end of the night.
9. Instead of a traditional sign in book, have your guests write a message on ribbons that are then left on the top table for the best man to read out . The ribbons can then be collected and saved as a memento for years to come.
10. Relax & have fun!
