Wedding Must - Haves!
I was doing some research (on your behalf!) recently and came across some really fabulous ideas & that 'something different' that every bride-to-be wants to have at her wedding. Some of these you will just love & some you'll probably think are just so over the top - but hopefully, there's something for everyone.
1. Personalised Matchbooks
Even if you're not a smoker and to be honest there's a lot of us who have kicked the habit but still find a box of matches very handy to have around the house for (a) lighting the fire logs (b) lighting those romantic candles or (c) when there's a power cut! So, in all, an inexpensive and very useful favour that won't end up in the bin. For a dramatic effect, get different colours for the guys & the gals.
2. Heart Place-Card Holders
These most likely come in silver, are very effective & stylish on the tables advising every guest as to where they are seated. Again, these are a 'take home' gift from the bridal couple and you can replace the card with your favourite photograph of you and your other half! Cute idea & will remind you of the wedding & couple who gave it to you.
3. Personalised Magnets
These are really cute & will be used again. Everyone has notes stuck up on their fridge door re: dental / doctor appointment etc., so it's a very useful favour. As they are a personalised gift you quite literally have a blank page to work with so the world is your oyster - get imaginative and make it fun!
4. Personalised Candles
Tell me anyone who doesn't love or have candles in their home! Candles are obviously very useful to have, so if you want to push the boat out a little, go for the scented ones or alternatively the little ones that comes in a tin case with a lid on top. Guarantee, none of these will be left on the tables!
5. Rose Shaped Favour Soaps
These are lovely idea for both acting as a favour & with a splash of colour either dressing or theming your reception venue i.e. Valentine Wedding, red rose soaps for the ladies and white for the guys, black-tie wedding, white for the ladies and black for the gents - you get the idea. So simple and very effective.
6. Miniature Bird Nest Favours
This looks fab either as a favour or again to dress your venue for a Spring wedding - really cute! You can fill it with little treats for your guests or just plain old straw and their place name sitting on top. Very unusual and striking. This will be a talking point for your guests both during & after the wedding.
7. Heart-shaped Manicure Set
Where are your nail scissors or clippers when you want them? You never know just where they are! Now you will. This is an ideal & practical favour. Comes in a silver case with leather inset - looks great and is very affordable. Have yet to see them at a wedding so you go for it & remember you read about them here first.............
8. Personalised CD Labels
Put together a compilation of yours and your H2B's favourite songs or songs that will be played at your wedding reception and give a copy of it to each of your guests! Lovely idea & so easy to do.
9. Wedding Fortune Cookies
Novel, not expensive and could be themed for a Chinese / oriental wedding
10. Cameras
Have to be honest, not a huge fan of these as have seen them as so many weddings now (obviously v popular!) and the photos that the bride & groom get aren't worth having! Very few if any will ever see the light of day. In saying that, they are an inexpensive favour, fun factor at the table which can help break the ice!
Hopefully, that's given you some ideas!
