You see, we made a pact in the office to give up chocolate for Lent (trying to make a effort!) and it was significantly harder than initially anticipated. I, personally, didn't think it would be that difficult and certainly didn't realise that I ate as much chocolate as I obviously do.... Might be time to look into Weight Watchers :)

Anyway, it got us thinking. If you could give up 3 things surrounding your wedding what would they be? For obvious reasons, we won't be naming names in the office as to who said what! It was only for a bit of fun so don't taken these answers to heart:-

1. The In-laws!
2. Favours
3. The Invitation List

1. Favours
2. The Invitation List
3. Pre-Marriage Course

1. Pre-Marriage Dinner
2. Paperwork
3. Grumpy bridesmaids (who can never agree!) and finally

1. Paperwork
2. Gift Registry
3. Invitation List

As you can see, the invitation list is a popular choice if only one could give it up! You know what, it's like anything that's worthwhile doing - it takes time.

Don't fool yourself into thinking that once you've make out your invitaiton list you can go ahead and start writing the invitations as IT WILL TAKE ON A LIFE OF IT'S OWN AND CHANGE PRETTY REGULARLY! 

Rule of thumb - you  make your list of guests that you'd like to invite. Your partner makes out his list of guests. If parents are contributing to the cost of the Wedding, yes, they then get a say as to whom they'd like to invite. You then sit down (calmly!) and make out the Master List. (It's not that bad - really!)
