With just three days to go to the gala opening of its new Budget Boutique and Bridal Room, Barnardos today announced details of a competition, giving brides-to-be the chance to win their dream wedding dress.

The competition invites entrants to tell the story of their most romantic moment – in 300 words or less.  Application forms will be available in the store, which is located on 45 Dublin Street, Carlow.  The store’s gala opening will take place at 1 o’clock on Friday 5th September. Closing date for applications is 30th September 2008.

Entries will be short-listed and the winner will be announced at a special in-store bridal evening. 

Barnardos supports children whose well-being is under threat, by working with them, their families and communities and by campaigning for the rights of children.  Barnardos was established in Ireland in 1962 and is Ireland’s leading independent children’s charity.
