Janet Jackson is playing down reports she'll wed boyfriend Jermaine Dupri next month - even though the producer started the rumours!

Dupri told journalists he was planning a big wedding ceremony on when he hit the red carpet at the Espy sports awards last month.

But Jackson now insists her man was joking.

She says: 'He was basically saying that's the date of the release of the new album - and making kind of a joke about it.'
