Ally McBeal, is headed back to her comedy roots. Actress Lucy Liu has reportedly signed up to star in the upcoming drama 'Beautiful Asian Brides', which follows the story of a man pretending to be a mail order bride to prove his innocence on murder charges.
Development on the project has picked up with the hiring of writers Steven Gary Banks and Claudia Grazioso (
Are We There Yet?). Brian Grazer will produce through his and Ron Howard's Imagine Entertainment production company. The story is about a man who is wrongly accused of murder so he goes undercover as a mail order bride to prove his innocence.
