The 36-year-old shared a hug with brother Michael, 39, and manager Claire Powell as he clutched a set of legal papers which confirmed the end of their three-and-a-half year marriage. Choking back tears yesterday, the singer told the pair: 'At last I'm free to love again.'

He added: 'It's over. I've moved on. It's been hard but you guys have always been there for me. I've been hurt by this but I'm a stronger man now. I can cope with anything,' the Daily Mirror reported.

Last month Katie and Peter both decided to divorce each other, filing cross decrees under 'Price K v Andrea PJ' - Andre's real name.
The High Court granted  each a decree nisi on the ground that the marriage had irretrievably broken down. Now, six weeks on, the pair have been given a decree absolute, finalising their split.

Peter was yesterday looking after his and Katie's children at his Brighton bachelor pad, Junior, four, and Princess, two. He claims to have been 100 per cent faithful during his marriage to Katie, who he met in 2004 on the I'm A Celebrity reality show before the pair later wed in the September of that year. But now his divorce is finalised, friends of the Australian popstar star say he is looking forward to being back on the market.

A source said: 'He's a hotblooded man and the last few months have been difficult. 'But he's always wanted to do the right thing by Kate and the kids. And that meant not being on the market until things died down. 'Now that moment has finally come, expect some fireworks.'
