The supermodel has been on the phone everyday, according to the Mirror, to reassure the tired and emotional Pete that she loves him and wants to marry him.

“Pete was practically in tears during one conversation,” revealed a Priory source. “He said ‘if I hadn't f***ed things up we'd be married by now. I thought you were going to leave me.' It was very lovey-dovey.”

It must have been Pete’s deep sense of romance then that caused him to allegedly punch a nurse on Sunday!

The wedding plans will have to wait until September 4, of course, as that’s the date Pete is due in court for sentencing on charges of possession. Although, if reports in the Sun are to be believed, Pete could be out of The Priory before that as he’s accused of giving cocaine to a fellow patient. Not the sort of behavour to impress the judges.

There’s some good news though. The alarming story yesterday of a Tom Chaplin / Justin Hawkins / Pete Doherty “super” group are false. Yes, they’re all in The Priory. But Pete is in the North London clinic, and Tom and Justin are down in Roehampton.
